Our First Aid at Work course is designed to provide the essential skills and knowledge you need to confidently handle a range of injuries and illnesses in the workplace. This training includes everything covered in Emergency First Aid at Work, with added focus on specific situations and the latest health and safety regulations. Course Duration: Ideally, this course is spread over three consecutive days, but we’re flexible and can tailor it to your needs, whilst remaining within the HSE guidelines. ⏰
By the end of the 3-day course, you will be able to:
- Understand the importance of preventing cross infection 🦠
- Properly don and doff Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) 🧤
- Recognize danger and ensure your safety in emergencies ⚠️
- Perform basic life support (BLS) for adults ❤️
- Safely use an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) ⚡
- Manage a choking patient 😵💫
- Assist an unconscious patient & help place them in the recovery position 🛏️
- Handle a fitting patient and understand epilepsy 🧠
- Recognize and manage anaphylaxis, and use an Epipen 💉
- Identify and provide first aid for major illnesses like heart attacks, strokes, asthma, and diabetes ❤️🩹
- Understand how to manage sudden poisoning 🧪
- Administer first aid to a casualty with wounds and bleeding 🩸
- Provide first aid to someone suffering from shock 😰
- Offer first aid for minor injuries 🩹
- Understand and treat injuries to bones, muscles, joints, and the spine 🦴
- Treat head, face, and eye injuries 👁️
- Respond to chest injuries 🫀
- Manage burns and scalds 🔥
- Know what to do following a clinical incident 🏥
